Intex just has launched an entry-level smartphone, Aqua G2, with a price tag of Rs. 1990. This is among the cheapest smartphone available in the market this year with Android OS. Aqua G2 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, though the OS is quite outdated but as per the specifications, it might be the right choice by Intex. In this era of high-end smartphone, Intex has released this phone just to capture the low-end market where customer only need basic functionality without any complex interface and features.

Intex Aqua G2 is available in two colors, i.e. Grey and Champagne. It is a dual SIM phone with 2G support in 2nd SIM slot, while first slot has 3G connectivity. It is powered by RDA 8810PL Chipset Single Core 32bit Processor, Vivante GC860 GPU and 256MB LPDDR2 RAM. It comes with mere 512MB internal storage but it has support for micro SD card up to 32GB. It has a very small 2.8 inch QVGA display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The display does not support multi-touch and has a PPI of 120.

Intex Aqua G2 also sport a 0.3 MP camera both at front and back which can record videos in 20fps at a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The device is packed with 1100mAh battery which can deliver 5 hours of calling time and 130 hours of standby time. The other features include IEEE 802.11b/g WLAN, 2.1 EDR Bluetooth, USB port, FM Radio and a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone is equipped with almost all the basic features even in such a low price range.
