
A couple of minutes ago, YU, in an event held at Delhi, has announced their new flagship device, i.e. YU Yunicorn. Yunicorn has been in the news for few weeks because of the teasers that were leaked by the officials. Earlier the device was scheduled to be launched on 19th May, but it was soon rescheduled for 31st May. YU is known for releasing nice specifications at a very low price tag. As an introductory offer, YU Yunicorn is priced at Rs. 12,999, and after a month, the price will be increased to Rs. 14,999. The phone will exclusively be sold via Flipkart, and the first sale will start from 7th June. The registration for the first sale will start from today at 2 PM in Flipkart. As Yunicorn is the flagship device, it comes with a metal unibody.
YU Yunicorn features a 5.5 inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device is powered by Helio P10 1.8GHz Octa Core processor along with 64bit Mali-T860 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM coupled with 32GB of internal storage which can further be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
Surprisingly, YU Yunicorn runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, but the company has promised that it will soon get the taste of Marshmallow. The device will be available in 3 colours, i.e., Rush Silver, Rush Gold and Graphite. It is a dual SIM smartphone with 3G and 4G network support. It features a 13MP primary camera accompanied with 5MP front facing the camera.
YU Yunicorn is packed with a 4000mAh battery which can deliver four days of standby time, as mentioned in the live event by the officials.
