
Yesterday in “Lenovo Tech World 2016”, Lenovo announced Moto Z and Moto Z Force with modular capabilities. All the rumours related to Moto Z Style and Play seems to be wrong as there were only two variants which were officially announced. There are many surprises that these two phones have bought. First of all, let us make clear that these two devices have ditched 3.5mm audio jack. Instead, they have provided a USB Type-C to 3.5mm adapter. No 3.5mm jack means thinner devices, and Moto Z is only 5.19mm thin, which is incredible.
Both the devices carry similar specifications, except for shatter shield technology that has been used in Z Force, bigger battery and better camera. Though both the phone comes with moto mods support. The devices have 16 magnetic dots at the back which connects with the mods and change your device to like anything.
Currently, there are four moto mods that are readily available which the launch of new Moto devices, i.e. from September 2016. These four moto mods include JBL Soundboost speakers, Moto Insta-share projector, Incipio offGRID power pack and Moto Style shell. It is obvious that within no time, there will be many new innovative and creative mods available for these devices, which can change the way you use your smartphones.
Coming back to the specifications of Moto Z and Z Force, both the devices feature a beautiful 5.5 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. Under the hood there resides a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC 2.2 GHz Quad-core processor accompanied with Adreno 530 GPU. It runs on 4GB of RAM and has 64GB internal storage which can be expanded up to huge 2TB storage. Both the devices comes with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box with near to stock look.
The traditional microUSB 2.0 port has been replaced with faster USB Type-C port. As mentioned above both devices has ditched 3.5mm audio jack to bring a more sleek device. Both the phones have fingerprint sensors and NFC.
Moto Z has 13MP primary camera while Z Force has 21MP camera. When its comes to battery, Moto Z has mere 2600 mAh battery, while Z Force has a 3500mAh battery. Both the devices have turbocharging which can provide 15 hours of backup in just 15 minutes of charge.
