Alcatel has just announced that they will unveil the Windows 10 OS variants of their previously released smartphone, Idol 4S. This new version of Idol 4S will be exclusive to T-Mobile and will be an upgraded variant of previous released Android model. The phone has been priced at $469.99 and will be on sale from 10 November onward. Along with upgraded specifications, the customers will also get Idol 4S VR Goggles inside the box. In addition, Alcatel is providing 30-day trial for Microsoft Groove music service and a 45-day trial for Hulu Plus.
As mentioned earlier, the Windows variant of Idol 4S has better specifications but looks very similar to the Android variant. Though the screen resolution of Idol 4S (Windows) has been nerfed. Alcatel Idol 4S (Windows) feature a 5.5 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels as compared to QHD display in Android variant. The Snapdragon 652 chipset has been replaced with Snapdragon 820 chipset and Adreno 530 GPU. 3GB RAM has also been upgraded to 4GB in Idol 4S (Windows). The internal storage is 64GB with the support for microSD card up to 128GB.

As far as the camera is concerned, 16MP primary camera has been upgraded to 21MP, while the front shooter is still the same, i.e., an 8MP camera with real-time face beautification and LED flash. Other features are very similar to Android variant, i.e. 4G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, NFC and microUSB port. Not to mention that it is a Dual SIM phone and is available in black coloured glass body with metallic gold edges.
