Today Micromax has launched their new Android smartphone, Bolt Q338, which comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. The phone has already been visible in the official website of Micromax, and soon the phone will be available in the retail market.

As per the listed hardware specifications, Bolt Q338 is an entry level phone with bare specifications. The price of the phone has not been confirmed till now, but it can be expected somewhere around Rs. 5,499. Bolt Q338 features a 5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Surprisingly the phone only support 3G networks, and there is no LTE band when all the new phones come with 4G support even if they are an entry level phone.

Micromax Bolt Q338 sports a 8 MP primary camera accompanied by a 5 MP front-facing camera. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1 GB of RAM. It seems that the phone may not provide a smooth experience as it only has 1 GB of RAM. Therefore multitasking will be a tough task for this phone. For further disappointment, the phone comes pre-loaded with several applications like Amazon Kindle, Amazon Shopping, Chaatz, Scandid, etc. which is certainly not required by most of the users. Instead, they would have provided with Facebook and WhatsApp Messenger.

When it comes to battery, Bolt Q338 has 2000 mAh battery. Although the processor will consume less power the 5-inch screen is certainly a power sucker and Micromax would have provided with a bigger battery. The internal storage of the phone is 8 GB which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The phone does support two SIMs at a single time (standby mode). The complete specifications are listed below.
