It wouldn’t be the first time when Samsung launches the flagship smartphone before time; various types of rumor comes up about its releasing dates, specification and its price. The most important thing is spun in the mind of each Samsung lovers that what will be specifications and features of the new smartphone and we all know very well that the Samsung Galaxy S series are known for their design and high end specifications and the company always brings some unique features on the S series smartphones.

Samsung has been dominating the market with their premium devices for the last few years and the company has made a lot of changes in couple of years. We noted that the company was using shoddy materials in the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S5, the disappointing plastic body with cheap metallic coating bumper seems to be a shame for a flagship device. If we talk about Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, Samsung has made some improvement especially in build quality.

Recently, Samsung has released Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Note 5 and no doubt that Samsung has got the best response from customers and the company has made a huge impact on mobile market share.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Release Date

Samsung has not officially announced the launch date of Galaxy S7, but as per the inside leaks the next flagship device will be released in the month January, 2016. If we talk about Galaxy S6, so it was released in April, 2015 but Galaxy S7 is going to be launched before its usual time. Perhaps, the company has taken the steps for their main competitors and responded aggressively. Samsung might bring some better features than Apple’s smartphone and it will be interesting for Android and Samsung lovers.

Variants of Samsung Galaxy S7

Samsung Galaxy S7 will be available in two variants. Galaxy S7 with flat display will sport the SM-G930 model and Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935 model) will have dual edge display.

Design & Display

Samsung had not used good material in their previous flagship devices (Galaxy S5 and below) and you might have noticed that Samsung has only focused on specifications rather than build quality, especially its cheap plastic side frame. Because of this, Samsung’s profit and sale began to fall and Apple took advantage of it with their premium quality iPhone.

Later on Samsung designed Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, that were far better than their predecessors in terms of build quality. They came up with better material and this time they used metal for more premium look. It seems that Samsung is planning to introduce flexible OLED display in their upcoming devices. They may use 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display in Galaxy S7 that will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Software & Hardware

Samsung had stopped using the Qualcomm processor for its flagship device in 2015 because of the overheating problem with Snapdragon 810 chip, so instead of Snapdragon they used their own Exynos chipset in Galaxy S6 series but it was not too impressive if we compare it with Qualcomm from the view-point of developers.

Samsung will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor and its next generation Exynos 8890, 64 bit CPU cores processor which will clock at 2.4 GHz in Galaxy S7. It will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow with newer version of TouchWiz out of the box. Galaxy S7 will hold 4 GB RAM and 128 GB memory (internal and external). In terms of connectivity, it has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC.

Camera

Samsung has always worked well in camera section and in the megapixel’s race Samsung is always in the front row. Samsung has used 16 MP camera with its own ISOCELL sensor in the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Plus. Previously it was rumored that Galaxy S7 will come with 20 MP ISOCELL sensors but Samsung wants something different in their next flagship device. Therefore, they will use 12 MP camera with 1/2” sensor and the camera will incorporate with dual-PD (dual-photodiode) technology.

Battery Life

It would not be wrong to say that the biggest problem with Galaxy S6 was its battery. The company spend a lot of time to make their phones but there has been no improvements in the battery yet. Samsung incorporated a non-removable 2550 mAh battery in the Galaxy S6 and it seems that S6 has a very bad battery life in real life. But this time, Samsung might improve in the battery section and Galaxy S7 might come with a bigger and batter battery. Samsung will probably use a 3400+ mAh battery in the Galaxy S7 but it is still not confirmed.

We will soon update the article with more updates and confirmations about Galaxy S7, till them stay tuned with us.
