A new phone by Asus has been launched in Brazil, named as Asus Live, with a price tag of $210 (around Rs. 14,000) with average specifications. Asus is popularly known for its Zenfone series, recently they also have disclosed their upcoming Asus Zenfone Max. Asus Live is a 3G enabled phone with dual SIM support. Currently there is no confirmation about the launch of this phone in other countries. But it is expected that the phone will soon be launched in Indian market with a price cut.

Asus Live Specifications

Asus Live features a 5 inch HD display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. There is nothing fancy in the screen this time, it is just a normal IPS HD display. The device is powered by MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage along with 5GB web storage provided by Asus for free. The phone also support 64GB micro SD card. In addition they are also offering 100GB space on Google Drive absolutely free which has the validity up to 1st April, 2018.

Asus Live is equipped with Digital TV Full-Seg, which has the same standards that are used in TVs for digital TV signal reception in HD, that means you will get the same quality as of the TV image on a smartphone.


Asus Live has 8MP primary camera with LED flash and auto-focus. The secondary camera is mere 2MP. The other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB 2.0, GPS, Radio FM and 3.5mm audio jack. Asus Live has 2070 mAh Li-Polymer battery which is capable of providing a day backup with minimal usage. Overall Asus Live is an average entry level phone without any powerful specifications.

It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with ZenUI over the top. Currently it is available in 3 colors, i.e. Rosa, Azul and Yellow. The phone is mere 9.98mm thick and weighs around 140 grams.
