
Lava has launched their new budget smartphone, Iris Fuel F2, which is priced only for Rs. 4,444 in eBay India. As the name suggest, the device is fueled by 3000 mAh battery which is capable of providing more than one day of backup with normal usage. Though the specifications of the phone are very basic but it still performs day to day tasks efficiently. According to the eBay listing, one user is only allowed to buy 2 pieces of Iris Fuel F2.
The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box with minimal bloatware and close to stock look. The phone is only available in black color with 8GB internal storage. It comes with 1 year manufacturer warranty. It has slots for 2 SIMs that has support for 2G and 3G networks. It features a 5 inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels.
Iris Fuel F2 is equipped with 1.3 GHz dual core processor and 512MB RAM. As mentioned earlier, it has 8GB of onboard storage with an option to expand it via micro SD card. It has a 5MP primary camera accompanied with a VGA shooter at the front. Overall, the specs are entry-level and nothing fancy is provided with the phone, though it has FM Radio and inbuilt torch option.

At a price of Rs. 4,444, Fuel F2 is a nice phone to look for when it provide a great battery backup of over one day with average usage. Though the phone is not powerful enough to play heavy games or to do multi-tasking, but it can perform the normal day-to-day tasks without any problem. Therefore, one can opt keeping this phone as a secondary phone especially for long time battery backup.
The other options in the same price range are Motorola Moto E 2nd Gen (Rs. 4,999), XOLO Era 4G (Rs. 4,777), Lenovo A1000 (Rs. 3636), Intex Cloud Zest (Rs. 4999). Out of all the above listed alternatives, only Intex Cloud Zest has a bigger battery (4000mAh) than Fuel 2, whereas Era 4G from XOLO has support for 4G networks.
