This is an express comparison between the flagship devices of two most successful mobile manufacturing companies, i.e. Samsung and Apple. Samsung has recently announced Galaxy S7 Edge in MWC 2016, whereas Apple iPhone 6s Plus was launched in September last year. Both the devices are top-notch with great design and best hardware available in the market, but still, both the devices are quite different from each other, especially in terms of software. No wonder that both the operating systems have some advantages and disadvantages, so we will not discuss the superiority of one OS on another.

Design
Both the devices have a completely different design concept, where Apple has used the all metallic approach, Samsung decided to go with the mixed material, i.e. glass and metal. S7 Edge has a unique curve design on both the side which makes it better to hold in hand, whereas Apple has used the same old design as iPhone 6 Plus. S7 Edge also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 back panel, but this also makes the phone very delicate, and it may shatter off quite easily as compared to iPhone.
Overall Samsung S7 Edge has a better design in terms of look, but when it comes to durability, iPhone is way ahead of Samsung.
Display
Samsung has gained a title of having best displays on the market for years, and 2016 is nothing different, S7 Edge comes with a 5.5 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display which is very crisp, bright and accurate with over 534 pixels per inch, where as iPhone 6s Plus comes with a 5.5 inch LED-backlit IPS LCD full HD display with 401 pixels per inch, which make it very dull as compared to S7 Edge. Galaxy S7 Edge comes with a new Always on Display feature, which is useful to see the clock or any other information that is useful for users.
In the real world, S7 Edge display makes the images pop out of the screen, while the pictures in iPhone are very dull, warm and tasteless. Though, Apple has introduced a new Force Touch display which is one of its kind and is unique from other mobiles.
Camera
When we compare cameras, both the phones has similar numbers, i.e. 12 MP at the back and 5 MP at the front, but these cameras are very different from each other regarding picture quality. Samsung has provided a bit advanced technology in their camera which make it superior to iPhone camera. You will get best pictures from Samsung in low light conditions with f/1.7 aperture. The pixels size in S7 Edge is 33% larger than iPhone 6s Plus. In addition, the focus capability of S7 Edge is much better than iPhone, and it can continuously capture images in no time without losing the focus.
Both the phones have Optical image stabilisation that helps to get better pictures on the go. When we come to video recording, iPhone has a little advantage as it can capture 1080p videos at 120fps as compared to 60fps in S7 Edge, similarly iPhone can capture 720p videos at 240fps while Edge can capture 720p videos at only 120fps.
When we come to the front camera, both the phone have 5 MP camera, but here also Samsung has provided f/1.7 aperture while Apple has f/2.2 aperture, which means Samsung will capture better low-light images.
Hardware and Software
Both the smartphones uses a different SoC and GPU, where Samsung uses Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 chipset, iPhone 6s Plus comes with their A9 chipset. Both the SoC are great in performance, and there is no lag or whatsoever while using these smartphones or doing extreme multi-tasking.
S7 Edge again has some advantage when it comes to battery life as it comes with bigger 3600 mAh battery while iPhone 6s Plus has only 2750 mAh battery. S7 Edge also features fast charging and wireless charging which is missing from iPhone. Other features on both the devices are pretty much standard and same.
