Intex has launched a new budget smartphone, Aqua Twist, for Rs. 5199. Recently Intex has also launched Aqua Ace Mini for Rs. 7,799 which has 4G support, 2GB RAM and 3000mAh battery. Intex Aqua Twist belongs to the same Aqua category but with lower specifications and price. As of now the phone is not available for sale in India but the phone listing is already up in the official website. The phone is available in two color variants, i.e. Black and White.
Intex Aqua Twist is mere 8.4mm thin and weighs 175 grams with battery. It features a 5MP rotating camera that can server the purpose of both primary and secondary camera. It is the camera rotating feature that entitled the phone with the word “Twist”. The camera features auto-focus and LED flash with aperture f/2.8. It has support for two SIMs that are 3G enabled, but the 4G support is missing. It sports a 5.0 inch IPS display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels.
Aqua Twist is equipped with 1.3GHz Quad-core processor with Mali-400MP2 GPU and 1GB DDR3 RAM. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box with some pre-installed applications like OLX, Amazon, Goibibo, Freecharge, Newshunt, Follo, Opera Mini, etc. The device has 8GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB. The other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS, FM Radio and 3.5mm jack.

Intex Aqua Twist is powered by 2200 mAh battery which can retain the phone for 15 hours with normal usage. Other options at similar price range are Micromax Canvas Spark (Rs. 4749), Moto E 2nd Gen (Rs. 4999) and Micromax Canvas Juice 2 (Rs. 5899). No wonder that you can get a better specs phone at this price, but Aqua Twist is for those who want a unique rotating camera to show-off to their friends.
