Apple has announced their new “Special Edition” phone, i.e. iPhone SE in a launch event that was held in US. According to the official report, Apple iPhone SE will be launched in India on 8th April with a price tag of Rs. 39,000 in over 3000 retail outlets. iPhone SE is a compact phone with mere 4.0 inch screen and will be available in two variants, i.e. 16GB and 64GB. iPhone SE is very similar to iPhone 6s except for its compact screen size and smaller battery.
Apple iPhone SE comes pre-loaded with iOS 9.3, which is the latest version of iOS till now. It features a 4.0 inch LCD display with a resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels. The phone is very light weight and is only 113 grams which makes it very handy. It is powered by the same Apple A9 chipset that comes with iPhone 6s. It has Dual-core 1.84 GHz Twister CPU accompanied with PowerVR GT7600 GPU. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB/64GB of internal storage. Apple has claimed it to be the most powerful smartphone with such a small display size.

iPhone SE sports a 12MP iSight camera with 1.22µ pixels which supports Live Photos, Autofocus with Focus Pixels, True Tone flash, Panorama (up to 63 megapixels), Auto HDR for photos, Exposure control, Burst mode, Timer mode, ƒ/2.2 aperture, Five‑element lens, Hybrid IR filter, Backside illumination sensor, Sapphire crystal lens cover, Auto image stabilization, Improved local tone mapping, Improved noise reduction, Face detection and Photo geo-tagging. The primary camera is capable of recording 4K videos in 30fps and 1080p videos in 60fps. It also holds a 1.2MP front facing camera.
Apple iPhone SE comes with standard Apple fingerprint sensor in the home button. It is equipped with 1642 mAh battery as compared to 1715 mAh battery in iPhone 6s. The phone will be readily available in four colors, i.e. Space Gray, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold.
